Autumn in the Pacific Northwest is stunning. The leaves are turning colors and we still have plenty of sunshine mixed with the showers and brisk mornings.  Part of the fun of the changing of season is decorating your home for fall. If you’re looking for some new ideas this year when it comes to fall window and door decorations for your home, we can help!

Idea #1: Window and Door Wreaths.
We love the variety of fall wreaths out there right now, especially when they’re used on energy efficient windows and doors. Make your own wreath or head to your local home décor shop or department store to find a wreath that fits your home’s style and your specific taste. And most importantly, if your windows and doors are worn out and no wreath will help making it look better, it may be time to think about replace them. We’re proud to carry Therma-Tru and Codel doors, which offer a wide variety of fiberglass and steel door options that will help update your home’s look and keep you and your family safe.

Idea #2: Window Boxes.
Window boxes add charm and beauty to any home. If you want to take your fall decorating to the next level, start first with replacement windows that will keep your home dry, safe, and quiet. Replacing your home’s windows with single or double hung windows is a great way to go, and they will allow you easy access to any window boxes you want to add. Once your window boxes are installed, plant fall flowers like pansies or mums, or consider adding greenery in the boxes for a pop of color.

Idea #3: Leaves, Stickers, and Mini Pumpkins.
Add a little bit of color to the inside of your home by adding leaves, fun fall window stickers, and mini pumpkins to the ledges and glass of your windows. If you have big picture windows in your home, this is a great place to add your fall décor. Add some twinkle lights for more ambiance and extra light during those cold fall evenings.

Fall weather brings lots of cooler weather also, so if you’re looking to save energy and not use your heat as much, consider upgrading your windows and doors with new energy efficient ones before the cold and wet weather settles in for the next several months.  Contact us today for information on getting your home’s doors and windows updated and ready to tackle the upcoming fall and winter months.
